Taxonomy
Dinogale siouxensis was named by Cook and Macdonald (1962) [genotype]. Its type locality is Thomson Quarry, which is in a Hemingfordian terrestrial horizon in the Sheep Creek Formation of Nebraska. It is the type species of Dinogale.
