Titanotaria orangensis
Taxonomy
Titanotaria orangensis was named by Magallanes et al. (2018). Its type specimen is OCPC 11141, a partial skeleton (skull, mandible, and postcrania including a nearly complete appendicular and axial skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is OCPC 721, which is in a Messinian shoreface horizon in the Capistrano Formation of California. It is the type species of Titanotaria.
