Taxonomy
Eomoropus ulterior was named by Chow (1962). Its type specimen is VM0053, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hsiaoshaho, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Lumeiyi Formation of China.
