Testudo tunhuanensis
Taxonomy
Testudo tunhuanensis was named by Yeh (1963). Its type specimen is IVPP V 1029a, a partial skeleton (anterior part of carapace, and a broken carapace connected with a complete plastron), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tamu, which is in a Miocene terrestrial horizon in China.
