Taxonomy
Bolbozoe was named by Barrande (1872) [Sepkoski's age data: S Ldov-u D Fame]. It is the type genus of Bolbozoidae.

It was assigned to Bolbozoidae by Benson et al. (1961) and Siveter and Lane (1999); and to Myodocopida by Sepkoski (2002).
