Taxonomy
Blackia ulmensis was named by Werner (1994). It is not extant. Its type specimen is SMNS 44584/F-4 m2 inf. sin., a tooth. Its type locality is Ulm-Westtangente, which is in a MN 2 terrestrial marl in Germany.
