Pristiglominae was named by Verrill and Bush (1898). It is extant.

It was assigned to Pristiglomidae by Coan et al. (2000); and to Sareptidae by Bouchet et al. (2010).

Synonyms
  • Glomidae was named by Verrill and Bush (1898) [Invalid; based on a junior homonym; ICZN Code At. 39 [Coan et al. 2001] = Pristoglomidae.]. It is extant.

    It was replaced with Pristiglomidae by Coan et al. (2000); it was synonymized subjectively with Pristiglominae by Bouchet et al. (2010).
