Taxonomy
Dosinia ausiensis was named by Ilyina (1957) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene; northeast Pacific.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Dosinia (Kaneharaia) ausiensis by Gladenkov et al. (1987), Amano and Khudik (1996) and Kafanov and Ogasawara (2003).
