Archeoconus missourensis was named by Stinchcomb (1986). It is not extant. Its type locality is Locality II, Eminence Formation, Washington County, Missouri - Stinchcomb 1986, which is in a Trempealeauan reef, buildup or bioherm chert in the Eminence Formation of Missouri.
