Taxonomy
Gujaratia was named by Bajpai et al. (2005). Its type is Gujaratia pakistanensis.

It was synonymized subjectively with Diacodexis by Rana et al. (2008) and Kumar et al. (2010).

It was assigned to Dichobunidae by Bajpai et al. (2005); and to Diacodexeidae by Theodor et al. (2007) and Luccisano et al. (2020).
