Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
A. P. Hunt and S. G. Lucas 1993N. ostromi (type species of the genus by monotypy) is a hadrosaurid that differs from other members of the family, except Grpyosaurus, in possessing a nasal arch that rises above the anterior end of the orbits; that differs from Gryposaurus in possessing nasals that bifurcate posteriorly so that the frontals extend anteriorly between the nasals along the midline; and in possessing nasals whose posterior processes are overlapped by extensive medial wings of the prefrtonals so that it appears in dorsal view that the transverse widrh of the nasals is narrower than the transverse width of the prefrontals.
