Taxonomy
Noripterus complicidens was named by Young (1973). It is not extant. Its type specimen is IVPP V.4062. Its type locality is Wuerho, IVPP site 64045, which is in an Aptian/Albian lacustrine mudstone/sandstone in the Lianmuqin Formation of China.
