Taxonomy
Hahnodontidae was named by Sigogneau-Russell (1991). It is not extant. Its type is Hahnodon. It was considered monophyletic by Kielan-Jaworowska and Hurum (2001).
It was assigned to Plagiaulacoidea by Sigogneau-Russell (1991); to Paulchoffatioidea by Hahn and Hahn (2003); to Plagiaulacida by Kielan-Jaworowska and Hurum (2001) and Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004); and to Eleutherodontida by Huttenlocker et al. (2018).
It was assigned to Plagiaulacoidea by Sigogneau-Russell (1991); to Paulchoffatioidea by Hahn and Hahn (2003); to Plagiaulacida by Kielan-Jaworowska and Hurum (2001) and Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004); and to Eleutherodontida by Huttenlocker et al. (2018).
