Archaeodelphis patrius
Taxonomy
Archaeodelphis patrius was named by Allen (1921). Its type specimen is MCZ 15749, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Charleston, Tiger Leap, which is in a Chattian marine horizon in the Tiger Leap Formation of South Carolina. It is the type species of Archaeodelphis.
