Taxonomy
Ampullina concipio was named by Dailey and Popenoe (1966). Its type specimen is UCLA 40433 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CIT loc. 629, Jalama Creek, which is in a Campanian offshore sandstone in the Jalama Formation of California.
