Taxonomy
Astarte tremula was named by de Ryckholt (1855).
It was recombined as Sanguinolites tremula by de Koninck (1885); it was recombined as Cypricardella tremula by Haffer (1959); it was recombined as Eodon tremulus by Cox et al. (1969).
