Taxonomy
Euprox altus was named by Wang and Zhang (2011). Its type specimen is IVPP V 17738.5, an other (nearly complete shed right antler), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is IVPP DM01, which is in a Miocene terrestrial claystone in China.
