Ellipsodon yotankae
Taxonomy
Ellipsodon yotankae was named by Van Valen (1978). Its type specimen is ACM 6359, a set of teeth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 3/4 mile south of Route 44, which is in a Puercan/Torrejonian terrestrial horizon in the Nacimiento Formation of New Mexico.
It was synonymized subjectively with Ellipsodon grangeri by Williamson and Lucas (1993) and Williamson (1996).
