Triletes surangei was named by Singh (1953). It is not extant. Its type locality is Bokaro, which is in the Artinskian/Kungurian of horizon the Barakar Formation India.

It was recombined as Singhisporites surangei by Bharadwaj and Tiwari (1970).

  • Triletes sitholeyi was named by Srivastava (1954). It is not extant. Its type locality is Bokaro, which is in the Artinskian/Kungurian of horizon the Barakar Formation India.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Singhisporites surangei by Lakhanpal et al. (1976).
