Moythomasia devonica
Taxonomy
Palaeoniscus devonicus was named by Clarke (1885). It is not extant. Its type specimen is ?MBSNS E 2044, a partial skeleton (Imperfect fish). Its type locality is Railway cutting, Sparta, which is in a Devonian marine shale in the Naples Formation of New York.
It was recombined as Rhadinichthys devonicus by Hussakof and Bryant (1918); it was recombined as Moythomasia devonica by Gardiner (1963).
