Taxonomy
Desmoceras ishikawai was named by Jimbo (1894). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Neopuzosia ishikawai by Matsumoto (1954) and Jones (1966); it was recombined as Kitchinites (Neopuzosia) ishikawai by Haggart and Ward (1989).
