Artimonius witteri

Taxonomy
Absarokius witteri was named by Morris (1954). Its type specimen is YPM-PU 14972, a mandible (left mandibular fragment with p3-p4, m2-m3 and alveoli for the anterior teeth and m1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cathedral Bluffs (UNSM), which is in a Bridgerian terrestrial horizon in the Wasatch Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Artimonius, Absarokius.

It was recombined as Artimonius witteri by Muldoon and Gunnell (2002).
