Balcis monicensis
Taxonomy
Melanella (Melanella) monicensis was named by Bartsch (1917). Its type specimen is USNM 251301, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Upper San Pedro Series, Santa Monica Canyon, which is in a Pleistocene coastal siliciclastic in California.
It was recombined as Balcis monicensis by Hendy (2021).
