Taxonomy
Neopholidophoropsis serrata was named by Taverne (1981). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is North coast of Helgoland-Düne (Stühmer collection), which is in an Aptian marine shale in Germany. It is the type species of Neopholidophoropsis.
