Macoma (Rexithaerus) addicotti
Taxonomy
Macoma addicotti was named by Nikas (1977). Its type specimen is CAS 55959, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS M1715, Arastradero Road, which is in a Pliocene marine sandstone in the Merced Formation of California.
It was synonymized subjectively with Macoma nasuta by Coan et al. (2000); it was recombined as Macoma (Rexithaerus) addicotti by Moore (2003).
