Kocurypelta silvestris

The specific name refers to the Kocury forest, where the excavations took place, and honors the local authorities who helped in organization of the excavations. The whole name means the forest shield from Kocury.
Taxonomy
Kocurypelta silvestris was named by Czepiński et al. (2021). Its type specimen is ZPALV.66/4, a maxilla (left maxilla lacking the anteriormost portion), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kocury, which is in a Norian terrestrial horizon in the Lissauer Breccia Formation of Poland. It is the type species of Kocurypelta.
