Taxonomy
Acropoma antiqua was named by Schwarzhans (1985). Its type specimen is SADME 10301, an otolith, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mount Salt oil development, which is in a Thanetian marine horizon in the Dartmoor Formation of Australia.
