Grus conferta
Taxonomy
Grus conferta was named by Miller and Sibley (1942). Its type specimen is UCMP 34715, a set of postcrania (left metatarsal), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP V-3310, Black Hawk Ranch, which is in a Clarendonian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Green Valley Formation of California.
