Taxonomy
Rallus intermedius was named by Olson (1977) [also but incorrectly said to be 1871]. It is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Quercyrallus intermedius by Lambrecht (1933); it was replaced with Quercyrallus ludianus by Brodkorb (1963); it was recombined as Ludiortyx adelus by Olson (1977).
