Taxonomy
Pinna equivillana was named by Anderson (1938). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS loc. 1668, west branch of the east fork of Hulen (=Huling) Creek, which is in an Albian marine horizon in the Budden Canyon Formation of California.
