Glyphiteuthis libanotica

Taxonomy
Geoteuthis libanotica was named by Fraas (1878). Its type specimen is SMNS 26271, an other (gladius), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hakel (SMNS collection), which is in a Cenomanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal carbonate in Lebanon.

It was recombined as Libanoteuthis libanotica by Engeser and Reitner (1986); it was recombined as Glyphiteuthis libanotica by Fuchs (2006), Fuchs and Larson (2011) and Jattiot et al. (2015).
