Avicranium renestoi
Taxonomy
Avicranium renestoi was named by Pritchard and Nesbitt (2017). Its type specimen is AMNH FARB 30834, a partial skeleton (Partial skull and articulated cervical series), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ghost Ranch Quarry, which is in a Rhaetian crevasse splay siltstone/conglomerate in the Chinle Formation of New Mexico. It is the type species of Avicranium.
