Akropus schochardti

Taxonomy
Akropus schochardti was named by von Lilienstern (1939). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Hessberger Quarry, Hildburghausen tracksite, which is in an Olenekian/Anisian terrestrial sandstone/claystone in the Chirotheriensandstein Formation of Germany.

It was synonymized subjectively with Rhynchosauroides pallinii by Marchetti et al. (2019); it was recombined as Rhynchosauroides schochardti by Demathieu and Haubold (1972), Haubold (1974), Klein and Lucas (2010), Klein et al. (2011) and Klein and Lucas (2021).
