Taxonomy
Geoemyda mossoczyi was named by Mlynarski (1964). Its type specimen is Polish Acad Sci No. Rf. T. 2/63 (pygalpart of carapace) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rebielice Krolewskie, which is in a MN 16 cave limestone/claystone in Poland.
