Proansomys daxnerae
Taxonomy
Prosciurus daxnerae was named by Lopatin (2000). Its type specimen is NMW, no. 1994/00271/0001/1, a tooth (Left M1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Altynshokysu (bone bed II), which is in an Oligocene terrestrial claystone in the Aral Formation of Kazakhstan.
It was recombined as Proansomys daxnerae by Maridet et al. (2017).
