Taxonomy
Ermoceras (Telermoceras) splendens was named by Arkell (1952). Its type specimen is SM F10752, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 2, Juraifa area (Aramco S-1618), which is in a Bajocian carbonate limestone in the Dhruma Formation of Saudi Arabia.
