Paraphaenogaster avita
Taxonomy
Aphaenogaster (Deromyrma) avita was named by Fujiyama (1970). Its type specimen is NSM-P1-7417 (Tokyo), an exoskeleton (Female complete body), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Chojabaru-zaki, Iki Island, which is in a Langhian lacustrine - small diatomite in the Chojabaru Formation of Japan.
It was recombined as Aphaenogaster avita by Bolton (2012); it was recombined as Paraphaenogaster avita by Radchenko and Perkovsky (2016).
