Taxonomy
Dyspterna hopwoodi was named by Cray (1973). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Headon Hill Lignite Bed, Isle of Wight, which is in the Eocene of claystone/lignite the Upper Headon Beds Formation the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Euhookeria.
It was recombined as Euhookeria hopwoodi by Russell and Godinot (1988).
