Taxonomy
Theridomys (Paradelomys) was named by Thaler (1966). It is not extant. Its type is Paradelomys crusafonti.

It was reranked as Paradelomys by Hooker (1986) and Bonilla-Salomón et al. (2016).

It was assigned to Pseudosciuridae by Hooker (1986); to Theridomys by McKenna and Bell (1997); and to Theridomyidae by Bonilla-Salomón et al. (2016).
