Taxonomy
Pseudotheridomys asiaticus was named by Wang and Emry (1991). Its type specimen is IVPP V9574, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Saint-Jacques (IVPP Loc. 77048), which is in an Oligocene terrestrial horizon in the Wulanbulage Formation of China.
It was recombined as Eomyodon asiaticus by Wang (2002); it was recombined as Asianeomys asiaticus by Wu et al. (2006).
