Euomphalus subsulcatus was named by Hisinger (1837) [Not Euomphalus subsulcatus Reed 1897 (= P. obtusangulus).]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Straparollus subsulcatus by d'Orbigny (1850); it was recombined as Poleumita subsulcatus by Wagner (2023).
