Jacobites (Tainuia) aucklandicus
Taxonomy
Tainuia aucklandica was named by Marshall (1926). Its type specimen is AMT.752 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nedler's Point, Whangaroa, which is in a Haumurian coastal siliciclastic in New Zealand. It is the type species of Tainuia.
It was recombined as Jacobites (Tainuia) aucklandicus by Henderson (1970).
