Falco oregonus
Taxonomy
Falco oregonus was named by Howard (1946). Its type specimen is UCMP 21779, a limb element (right carpometacarpus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Fossil Lake, which is in a Pleistocene lacustrine - large sandstone/claystone in Oregon.
It was recombined as Falco (Hierofalco) oregonus by Wetmore (1956).
