Taxonomy
Zonaria (Pseudozonaria) cathyae was named by Groves (1997). Its type specimen is LACMIP 12433, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is TU 1397 - Quebrada Camarones, which is in a Pliocene deep-water shale in the Onzole Formation of Ecuador.
