Taxonomy
Lunania zhoui was named by Huang (2002). Its type specimen is IVPP V 13139, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nearby Hedi Village, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Hedi Formation of China.
