Ammonites stobaei was named by Nilsson (1827) [DISTRIBUTION: Campanian; Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Parapuzosia (Parapuzosia) stobaei by Kennedy (1993); it was recombined as Patagiosites stobaei by Niebuhr et al. (2016).
