Ctenolophonidites cruciatus

Taxonomy
Ctenolophonidites cruciatus was named by Jaramillo and Dilcher (2001) [Type locality: Piñalerita Creek near Sabanalarga. ]. It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UFP 37, 18.4 x 111.5, a microspore (Pollen grain). Its type locality is Pinalerita UFP 37, Llanos foothills, Colombia, which is in an Eocene fluvial-deltaic sandstone/siliciclastic in the Areniscas de el Limbo Formation of Colombia.
