Taxonomy
Jacobites crofti was named by Spath (1953). Its type specimen is BMNH C.41355, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is D.84.7, Dagger Peak, James Ross Island, which is in a Campanian marine siliciclastic in Antarctica.
