Protoheterastraea konosensis
Taxonomy
Thecosmilia konosensis was named by Kanmera (1964). Its type specimen is GK.F348 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ko.325, Kuma River, which is in a Carnian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Oshe Formation of Japan.
It was recombined as Protoheterastraea konosensis by Stanley and Onoue (2015).
