Mimemala giganteum
Taxonomy
Liassocupes giganteus was named by Whalley (1985). Its type specimen is BMNH In 51026, an elytra, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Flatstones, Stonebarrow, Charmouth (Jackson collection), which is in an Obtusum marine mudstone in the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Mimema giganteum by Ponomarenko (2006); it was recombined as Mimemala giganteum by Clapham (2023).
